I Feel Ya, Cecelia

by Jim O'Dell

about

Instrumental track, edgy blues rock.

The title? Well, I have to call a song something. :) The idea for the song title came from when I was driving Uber (a side gig I do) and asking one of the set of passengers what songs they would like to hear, which I would ask "Alexa" to play on Amazon Music. It's something I like to do, especially on Saturday nights, when people seem to be in that kind of mood. During one such occasion, the request was made for "Cecelia" by Simon and Garfunkel, and then "Ophelia" by the Lumineers, both great songs. "I Feel Ya" sounds like "Ophelia" and from there, the song title was filed away in the memory banks and now is being put to use.

Like many things these days, those days of Uber driving are now in the rearview mirror in light of the new normal of bunkered and hunkered living due to the reality of COVID-19. We still have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to look forward to!

All instruments by Jim O'Dell (guitars and keys). The keys are very low in the mix, but I think they give it an unbalanced feeling and serve to enhance the moodiness of the track.
